Common Acre CSA
Terms and Conditions
CSA Membership
Common Acre operates as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. By subscribing to a CSA vegetable box, members support a small-scale local farm and share in the seasonal nature of food production.
Each weekly box contains a selection of seasonal vegetables grown at Common Acre or sourced from trusted local growers. Box contents vary depending on what is ready to harvest.
Subscription Length
CSA veggie box subscriptions operate in 12 week seasonal cycles.
From the Autumn season beginning 1 April 2026, subscriptions will automatically renew into the following season unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
Cancelling Your Subscription
If you do not wish to continue into the next season, you must notify Common Acre at least 10 days before the next season begins.
This allows time for the share to be offered to someone on the waiting list.
If notice is not received before this deadline, the subscription will automatically roll over into the next 12 week season.
Payment Options
CSA shares can be paid:
• Upfront for the full 12 week season
• Upfront Annually (50 weeks)
• Monthly (billed every 4 weeks)
Monthly payments are an instalment plan for the 12 week CSA share and still represent a commitment to the full season.
Pausing Your Box
CSA shares are intended to run continuously throughout the season.
However:
• Pauses are by discussion only
• A maximum of one pause for one week per share per season may be approved
• Reasonable notice must be given
When a pause is approved:
• The value of the missed box will be issued as store credit
• Credit may be used toward future CSA subscriptions, add-ons, or other purchases
Credits cannot be refunded for cash.
Missed Pickups
Members are responsible for collecting their veggie box during the specified collection window. If you need to pick up your box outside of these hours, reasonable notice must be given.
If a box is not collected it may be donated or redistributed. Refunds or credits cannot be issued for missed pickups.
You are welcome to arrange for a friend, neighbour, or family member to collect your box.
Box Contents
CSA boxes are packed as a set seasonal share and cannot be customised.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate:
• Produce swaps
• Exclusions
• Substitutions
• Customised boxes
Box contents vary week to week depending on the harvest.
Seasonal Variability and Shared Harvest Risk
Common Acre operates using a Community Supported Agriculture model. By joining the CSA, members support the farm and share in both the rewards and risks of seasonal farming.
Weather events, pests, crop failures, and other natural conditions may affect the quantity or variety of produce available at times.
While the farm always aims to provide a generous and balanced share across the season, exact contents and quantities cannot be guaranteed.
Where necessary, produce may occasionally be sourced from other local growers or certified organic suppliers.
Membership Cancellations and Refunds
CSA memberships are purchased for a full 12 week season.
Once a season has begun, memberships are non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
If a member can no longer receive their share, they are welcome to arrange for another household to collect their box or gift their share to a friend, neighbour, or family member.
Changes to Pickup Details
Occasionally pickup times or locations may need to change.
Members will be notified as early as possible if adjustments are required.
Communication
Important updates including season start dates, renewal reminders, and farm updates will be communicated via email.
Members are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain current.
